Just a short visit to the Lake District to view the venue for daughter number 3’s wedding next July. Her fiancée’s family had booked a cottage near Ambleside so we took the motorhome up to Skelwith Fold Lake District Holiday Park which was only a 10 minute walk from their cottage.
We were very impressed by the site, although our schedule and the weather didn’t give us chance to really take appreciate all of its great features. There was good walking trails from the site and Ambleside was within about 40 minutes walk. The showers and toiled block were excellent and the site had a well stocked shop with friendly and helpful staff.
This is a site we will return to.
